Jim Foreman here, King 5 News, reporting waist deep in a tank of hungry live piranha, hair on fire, and inside the eye of the storm. The icy claws Arctic Blast 2008 have been sunk into yet another innocent group. This time, local homebrewers. How they're reacting may surprise you. (Details at 11:00)
Alright, enough of that BS. It is true our Christmas party was foiled by mother nature, and she is a icy, fridgid, cold hearted bitch this time. We had planned to have officer nominations at this months meeting and then hold elections at the January 16th meeting. Rather than wait a whole month, we are going to allow people to post their nominations on-line. We've set up a quick poll to do this which will only take a couple of minutes. So, pour a snifter of your favorite barleywine, snuggle up to the keyboard and click the link and follow the instructions.

One thing we also planned to do at this months meeting was partake in Tom Barnes' beloved annual winter warmer tasting. We could postpone this until the regular January meeting, but it has been suggested that we hold a special meeting between now and then. If you feel this is a good idea, again, pour yourself a tall stein of eisbock and stumble back to the keyboard and click the link and follow the instructions.

See you all soon.

The winners of the flights are qualified to enter the final event for MCAB XI subject to the rules of that event and as determined by the MCAB XI Director. Currently the final event is planned for early 2009. The last two years it was held in early February. The MCAB XI director will contact the individual qualifying brewers with instructions regarding the final round.
