That's right Alers, our own Dan O'Leary brought home a Silver at the NHC 2010 in Minniappolis, MN this past weekend. Dan has done so well with this same American Wheat Ale that I propose his name be changed to "Dan O'Wheat"! Way to represent Dan!

Washington Mead & Cider Cup 2010! |

The Washington Mead & Cider Cup is scheduled for Saturday October 16th, 2010 at Larry's. All category 24 through 28 entries will be accepted. 2 bottles per entry. Entries wil be due October 12th, 2010. We are expecting more entries this year than last year, but still a moderate number compared to say...NHC at nearly 700! So, we will host a mead & cider judging clinic in the morning and judge the entries in the afternoon.
We'll post more information as the date gets closer, but even if you don't have anything made yet, you could fire something up now and it could be ready this fall.

Novembeerfest 2010 is coming up on Novembeer 6th, 2010 and will be the 20th year! How's that for sustainability? Mike Hausenfluck and Sean Drew are the organizers this year. Get those entries ready! Entires will be due Novembeer 2nd, 2010. We'll post more details as we get closer to the event.
Novembeerfest is the last event of the year that is also a Washington Homebrewer of the Year (WHOTY) qualifier. Got to enter to win!
